Hollywood’s Best Directors
Choose Their Best Movies
In their own words, each
Director selects one of their most compelling films and
reveals intimate details about their most influential work
while reviewing specific clips from each film. It includes
how famous scenes were staged and shot, how characters were
cast and how the directors first reacted to the scripts
that became film classics.
Each segment is about 2-3 minutes
long and features interviews with each director, a segment
from their "best" work and interviews with at least one
marquee actor from each film. This series was produced
by the American Film Institute (AFI).

Using a
similar format as "Choose Their Best Movies", top Hollywood
directors talk about critical factors to being successful
in Hollywood and the importance of teamwork.
